It all started when fate brought Valerie & Nathan to Las Vegas...

For a business trip to a conference called "Blog World" that neither of them had planned on attending. Valerie was walking by Nathan's Plixi booth, while he was trying to take a photo of himself and his friends. He caught her eye, she offered to take the photo for him, and then they struck up a never-ending conversation. They spent the day together, talking all night long, and then Valerie went back to NYC and Nathan returned to San Diego, not knowing if they'd ever run into each other again.

They spent a year of brunches, concerts, parties, and HBO series bi-coastal, taking turns visiting each other, and then Nathan decided to make the move - to Greenpoint, Brooklyn - for Christmas 2011. Nathan popped the question on April 5, 2014 and then they officially became Mr. & Mrs. Stokes on May 30, 2015.

Ten years later, Nathan and Valerie reside in a home of their own in Costa Mesa, CA with their dog Rocco, and are expecting their baby boy in January 2021.
